Eligibility Criteria for Admission in Astana Medical University
- A person who has attained 17 years of age by the 31st day of December of the year of admission and is not beyond 25 years of age is eligible to apply for admission.
- Candidates must have completed their 10+2 (Higher Secondary education) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as main subjects from a recognized board.
General category students should have thereby secured at least 50% marks in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology). (For applicants belonging to the SC/ST/OBC category, it shall be 40%)
NEET qualification is a must for Indian applicants wishing to do MBBS abroad. NEET results are valid for 3 years when applied for studying MBBS outside India.
Must have a reasonably good past academic record and strong motivation for medical studies.
IELTS or TOEFL is not a must; simple knowledge of English is important because English is the medium of instruction.

Admission Process of Astana Medical University
Admission into Astana Medical University Indian students have to fulfill the NEET Male qualification, which has now become mandatory for MBBS abroad. Admission to the Astana Medical University shall be as follows:
- Registration Form: Fill out the prescribed application form on the website of the University or its Authorized Representative.
- Send Documents: Print and sign the filled-in Registration form; send the same to the university via email with attested scanned copies of all required documents. Make sure to list in the subject, “Application for Admission.”
- Verification of Documents: The university will verify all the documents. Upon proving your eligibility for admission, you will be issued a letter of provisional admission.
- Payment of Fees: After you receive the letter of admission, you will be asked to pay the admission fee as specified.
- Invitation Letter: The Invitation Letter to the Visa Processing Department Will Be Issued Upon payment of the full fee; the university shall issue the letter of invitation, which shall later be required for the visa processing.
- Student Visa Application: Apply for a student visa using the invitation letter. Once approved, you can make travel arrangements to Kazakhstan.
